Why I’m (No Longer) an AiM Accredited Practitioner – And Why That’s a Good Thing for You
Let’s start with this little nugget of truth: I’m not currently listed as an AiM Accredited Practitioner on the official Anatomy in Motion practitioner directory.
But before you jump to conclusions (or close the tab in horror), let me tell you why that doesn’t mean I’m not qualified to help you move better, feel better, and finally understand why your left hip acts like a grumpy teenager.
I Was an AiM Practitioner, Teacher, and Mentor for Over 10 YearThat’s right.
I didn’t just study Anatomy in Motion (AiM)—I taught it, mentored practitioners, and lived it for over a decade.
✔️ Completed all four phases of AiM training
✔️ Mentored practitioners across Australia and internationally
✔️ Taught workshops and led clinical reasoning sessions
✔️ Integrated gait mechanics, joint stacking, and foot function into clinical practice for 10+ years
So while I’m no longer on the directory, I’m not new to this game—I helped build the playbook.
What Is an AiM Accredited Practitioner?
The AiM directory is the current list of practitioners who:
Completed all four AiM phases (or the pre-2019 immersion course)
Passed a 40-question static/dynamic assessment
Submitted a live gait analysis video with clinical reasoning
Pay an annual fee to maintain accreditation
Complete ongoing CPD to stay current
It’s a gold-standard list of skilled clinicians. But it’s not the only way to be exceptional.
Why I Stepped Away From AiM Accreditation
Because growth happens. And sometimes, growth means going beyond the framework.
I still:
Analyse gait
Restore 3D joint motion
Address compensation patterns
But now, I combine those with:
Functional biomechanics
Cranial therapy
Acupuncture
Nervous system regulation
I’ve expanded my toolbox, not discarded it. The principles are alive and well in my clinic—they’re just more evolved, more tailored, and more client-centred.
Do I Still Use AiM Concepts?
Absolutely. Every. Single. Day.
Gait analysis? Still a core part of every assessment.
Foot and pelvis sequencing? That’s my bread and butter.
Talus, calcaneus, navicular motion? If you know, you know.
What I don’t do is stay boxed into one system. My work now integrates the best of AiM with new insights, client feedback, and real-world clinical outcomes.
Not Listed. Still LeadiI’m not currently listed on the AiM directory.
But I was:
An AiM practitioner, mentor, and teacher for 10+ years
Clinically active in applying AiM principles daily
Now integrating movement therapy, foot mechanics, cranial therapy, acupuncture, and more
The badge may be off, but the knowledge? It's deeply embedded in every step we take together.
