Posture, Walking & Movement Restoration

When pain keeps coming back, it's time to understand why.

If you've tried treating the painful area but the problem keeps returning, your body may be adapting to something happening somewhere else.

At The Body Lab, every new client begins with a Comprehensive Restoration Assessment to uncover why your body has adapted the way it has, and what it needs to move more freely again.

Rather than focusing only on where it hurts, we assess how your entire body works together. Using walking analysis, pressure plate technology and a comprehensive movement assessment, we'll help you understand what your body is doing, why it's happening, and where to begin.

Your Comprehensive Restoration Assessment includes:

  • 90-minute assessment and treatment

  • Walking and gait analysis

  • Pressure plate assessment

  • Whole-body movement assessment

  • First treatment included

  • Personalised Restoration Plan

EVERY NEW CLIENT WALKS

Because walking is where your body tells the truth.

Walking is something you do thousands of times every day without thinking, yet it is one of the quickest ways to understand how your body is really functioning.

Every step requires your feet, pelvis, spine, ribcage and head to work together. When one area loses movement, another area often adapts to compensate. These adaptations may have been developing for years before pain ever appeared.

That's why every new client walks.

Not as a test to pass or fail, but because walking often reveals movement patterns that simply can't be seen while lying on a treatment table.

Understanding how you move gives us a clearer picture of why your symptoms developed in the first place and helps us build a treatment plan that addresses the whole body rather than chasing individual symptoms.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

You don't need to arrive knowing what's wrong.

Many of our clients come to us because they've reached a point where the same problem keeps returning and nobody has been able to explain why.

You might recognise yourself if:

  • You've treated the painful area, but the problem keeps coming back.

  • You feel like something isn't moving or working as it should.

  • You've been given exercises without really understanding why.

  • You want someone to explain what's actually happening instead of simply treating the symptoms.

  • You're looking for a long-term solution rather than temporary relief.

  • You know something isn't quite right, even though scans or tests haven't given you the answers you were hoping for.

If you recognised yourself in several of these, you're exactly the type of person a Comprehensive Restoration Assessment was designed for.

WHAT HAPPENS AT YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT?

Understanding comes before treatment.

Your first appointment isn't just about finding where it hurts. It's about understanding how your body has adapted and identifying where to begin restoring efficient movement.

We listen.

Every person's story is different. We'll take the time to understand your symptoms, previous injuries, lifestyle and goals before we begin assessing how you move.

We assess.

Using posture assessment, walking analysis, pressure plate technology and whole-body movement testing, we identify how your body is currently moving—not to find faults, but to understand its strategy.

We explain.

We'll show you exactly what we've found and explain it in plain English. You'll understand why your body has adapted the way it has, what it means for your symptoms, and where we need to focus first.

We begin restoring.

Your treatment begins during your first appointment. Before you leave, you'll receive your personalised Restoration Plan outlining the next steps based on your assessment findings.

By the end of your appointment you'll understand what we found, why your body has adapted the way it has, and the plan we'll use to help restore more efficient movement.

MEET RICCARDO

Helping people understand how their body moves for over 18 years.

I'm Riccardo Galeotti, founder of The Body Lab.

For more than eighteen years I've worked with people who have often tried multiple treatments but still don't understand why their symptoms keep returning.

The Body Lab wasn't built around a single treatment technique. It was built around a simple belief.

Your body adapts for a reason.

Our job is to understand that reason before deciding how to treat it.

By combining walking analysis, pressure plate technology, biomechanics and hands-on treatment, I help people understand how their body has adapted and what it needs to move with greater ease and confidence again.

Because when your body has more movement options, it often moves with less effort.
