“I had 3–4 clients with ‘plantar fasciitis’ walk out pain-free within the hour. This was the missing link in my treatments.” Dane, clinician

Still Treating Foot, Knee, Hip, or Back Pain…

Without Truly Understanding the Foot?

It’s time to fix that.

Because here’s the uncomfortable truth:

Most clinicians treat the foot like a block of wood.

But the foot is the most influential structure in human locomotion:

  • first thing to hit the ground

  • last thing to leave it

  • controller of everything in between

If you don’t understand foot mechanics, you can’t understand:

  • lower-limb mechanics

  • gait

  • recurring compensation patterns

And if you don’t understand gait, you will always be chasing symptoms.

This workshop fixes the missing link.

Workshop Outline and Learning Objectives

Loved Riccardo's modality - awareness of and working with tendons to rebalance the body - starting with the feet. Issues since my teens including twisted toes and jammed metatarsals - I could feel the difference in the problem foot after a demo treatment at the workshop!

Robert 30/8/24

‘I was very engaged throughout this workshop even though a lot of fairly complex topics were introduced from a perspective I had not previously considered’

Jennifer 30/8/24

What Participants Are Saying

I can directly use this information in both my Reflexology and massage modalities. Jill 30/8/24

More of Riccardo please - much more. Love what he has to offer, even though the workshop was a tiny start to his modality!

Anthony 30/8/24

“1 very well organise polite and good communicator”

Channing 2/6/24

Hey Riccardo,

I’ve incorporated the foot assessment into my global screen. It’s been the missing link to my treatments - have always identified foot dysfunction but never had the right tools to assess and treat. I can’t thank you enough.

I’ve had 3-4 people come in complaining of “plantar fasciitis” and after assessing and treating was able to get them loading their foot tripod correctly, coming off the big toe and moving pain free within the hour.

Brilliant! Dane 5/6/25

The modality that Riccardo has/is developing has huge potential for pain and health. I'm very excited about it!

Lisa 30/8 /24

Thank you Riccardo, my knee pain and shin pain has gone and my foot straightened without effort. Much appreciated

Carol 30/8 /24

If You’ve Ever Thought This in Clinic…

  • Why does this plantar fasciitis keep coming back?

  • Why isn’t their arch responding to strengthening?

  • Why does their foot collapse in a squat but not in gait?

  • What is their tibia doing… and why?

  • I know the foot is the problem — I just don’t know how to fix it.

Good.

You’re exactly who Level 1 was built for.

The Foot Is Not a Single Joint

It’s a 3D, Multi-Segmented Movement System

In Functional Foot Mechanics – Level 1, you learn to see the foot as it actually functions:

  • rearfoot mechanics

  • forefoot mechanics

  • toe loading and the big-toe lever

  • the tripod and arch behaviour

  • talus motion (the sequencing troublemaker)

  • the windlass mechanism — updated, not the 1954 version

  • 3D joint coupling during gait

  • how force actually travels through the system

This is usually the moment clinicians say:

“Oh… THIS is why everything upstream is compensating.”

What You’ll Be Able to Do After Level 1

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

1. Assess Foot Motion in 3D

Not just shape — movement.

You’ll confidently assess:

• dorsiflexion / plantarflexion

• inversion / eversion

• internal / external rotation

• how these motions combine in the rearfoot, forefoot, and digits

• whether they are sequencing correctly

2. Read Gait From the Ground Up

You’ll know exactly what the foot should be doing during:

• initial contact

• loading response

• mid-stance

• terminal stance

• toe-off

No more guessing. No more vague observations.

3. Identify the Real Reason Foot Pain Persists

Instead of:

“Your plantar fascia is tight”

You’ll be able to say:

“Your calcaneus isn’t everting, your talus can’t move, your forefoot is locked, and your tibia is compensating.”

That’s clarity.

4. Instantly Change Mechanics Using Wedges & Simple Tools

A small wedge, placed precisely, can:

• allow tibial rotation

• normalise knee loading

• reduce hip compensation

• change gait immediately

This isn’t magic.

It’s mechanics — applied accurately.

5. Build a Clear, Repeatable Treatment Pathway

No random exercises.

No “hope this helps.”

You’ll leave with:

• a structured assessment process

• a logical intervention sequence

• a framework you can repeat with confidence

You’ll walk out of Level 1 with:

  • one assessment trick that instantly exposes the root cause

  • one movement that decompresses the entire chain

  • one wedge placement that changes gait immediately

  • one test that reveals whether the foot is the real problem

  • one mechanical sequence that solves half your difficult cases

These never fail to blow clinicians’ minds.

“Is this too advanced?”

No. Level 1 is designed for every clinician, from students to 30-year practitioners.

“Do I need to know anatomy?”

Basic anatomy helps, but you’ll learn joint mechanics from scratch — in a way that finally makes sense.

“Can I use this on Monday?”

Yes. Most clinicians see immediate results with their first post-workshop client.

“I’ve done other foot courses — will this be different?”

Yes. This is gait-driven, 3D, joint-centric mechanics — not muscles, posture, or strengthening.

“Will this help me with knee/hip/back cases?”

Absolutely. If the foot isn’t loading correctly, the entire chain is compensating.

WHY THIS WORKSHOP IS DIFFERENT

Most foot courses teach:

❌ muscles

❌ stretches

❌ strengthening

❌ orthotics

❌ generic exercises

This course teaches:

JOINT-BY-JOINT, REAL BIOMECHANICS.

The kind that drives:

• knee loading

• hip rotation

• pelvic control

• spinal mechanics

• gait efficiency

If you treat anything above the ankle… you need to understand what’s happening below it.

FAQ

Q: Do I need Level 1 before Level 2 or Gait Masterclass?

Yes — Level 1 is the foundation. Everything builds from it.

Q: Is this suitable for massage therapists, myotherapists, physios, chiros, osteos, PTs, acupuncturists?

Absolutely. If you work with the human body, this will change your practice.

Q: Will I be overwhelmed?

No. Everything is taught step-by-step with hands-on guidance.

Q: Will this help me treat chronic pain?

Yes — especially stubborn, recurring cases.

Q: What if my background is not biomechanics-heavy?

Perfect. This is exactly why Level 1 exists.

Every clinician has a moment when movement finally makes sense.

For most, that moment starts here.
