Happy Feet Workshop

Feet are the last part of our body to get any attention but they do most of the heavy lifting when it comes to getting from A to B. This workshop is all about getting the mobility and stability back into your feet.

Date: Saturday 22nd July 2023

Time: 930am to 12noon

Cost: $200 included wedges, online portal & movement assessment guide

Venue: The Body Lab - Turner, Canberra

This highly engaging workshop is all about making your feet happy and pain free! Over 2.5 hours learn how the foot should move and function and experience over 10 movements to allow your feet to feel free.

This workshop will benefit you if you have:

  • flat feet, or high arches

  • weak ankles, prone to sprains & strains

  • notice uneven wear patterns on your shoes,

  • tight calf muscles, limited mobility in the toes, feet, or ankles,

  • bunions, hammer toes, or other misaligned joints

  • Or if you have healthy feet and want to keep them feeling fine!

The purpose of this workshop is to guide you towards gaining full motion in the heel (rear foot), arch (forefoot) and toes. Underpinning this workshop is understanding is a self assessment process and guiding you on self healing your feet through understanding what movements it can not do and learn ways to unlock your feet full potential.

What will be covered?

1. Tools for developing the capacity to articulate the entire foot from your toes to your heel.

2. How to work with wedges and bands to increase mobility and stability in your entire foot.

3. Basic exercises to assess your foot function and mobility and develop a program to guide you into a daily practice.

4. Routines to help regain elasticity in your feet from the tips of the toes to the heel.

5. Access to an online portal with all the movements and concepts for future reference and to establish a learning resource.

Additional Information

Do I need to have issues with my feet to attend? No you do not have to be experiencing foot issues or pain to attend this workshop. This is a preventative focused workshop giving you strategies for improving your overall feet and limb function but also preventing foot and ankle issues in the future.

Why should I come? Anyone who values their feet needs to understand how your feet can impact the entire body. Gaining mobility and proper function in your feet can reduce a huge amount of pressure and stress in your entire body. There are over a quarter of your bones in your feet, so getting proper foot function will make life easier for you to walk and enjoy life.
