Pre-Birth Acupuncture

Pre-Birth Acupuncture Program at The Body Lab is a series of weekly treatments for pregnant women from week 35 of their pregnancy until labour commences. Specific prebirth acupuncture points are used to help prepare a woman’s body for birth with an emphasis on preparing and ripening the cervix & uterus. Research suggest that acupuncture may also have the opportunity to reduce the mean time of labour and may reduces likelihood of medical intervention during labour.
